La Double J is another brand that I am obsessed with these days. As a New Yorker, I tend to wear a lot of black. The bright colors and prints of these dresses help to push me out of my comfort zone.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT L'ETOILE SPORT AND HOW YOU GOT STARTED.
Fitness and being active has always been important to me. I'm an avid runner and tennis player, and I played professional basketball in Turkey. Living in New York, I saw an opportunity to create elevated activewear that could transition between the court and the clubhouse. In 2012, L'Etoile Sport was born.
My athletic background and personal style are really what inform all of the L'Etoile Sport designs. The collection is all about fashion and function. We use a lot of luxurious fabrics that are comfortable and designed so that you can really play in them. The collection includes tennis, golf, and activewear styles, so there is something for every woman.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE L'ETOILE SPORT PIECES?
I love our pointelle styles. The Pointelle Tank and Pointelle Team Skort are my favorite this summer. I go back and forth between the all white look and the navy.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?
I have always been inspired by women who are able to balance family, work, philanthropy, and a social life.
ANYTHING UPCOMING/NEW ON THE HORIZON THAT WE SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR IN THE FUTURE?
We are expanding our golf collection and launching performance sweaters this fall. Our sweaters are made with Italian merino wool that is 100% machine washable and water repellent. We are really excited about it!
WHO IS YESIM PHILIP AND WHY DO WE LOVE HER?
I first met Yesim on the tennis court. Her big, beautiful, infectious smile was hard to miss but honestly it was the chic tennis outfit that first caught my eye. When learning that it was of her own design and I connected all the dots I was impressed and became a client instantly. After falling in love with the amazing fabrics and chic designs I soon realized that Yesim was pretty amazing as well.
She is the ultimate hostess with a a huge heart. How she balances business with her family being a priority is awe inspiring and I love learning about her latest discoveries and travels.
